How to Write a Great Blog Title?

Blog titles are the first thing on your blog post that your readers will see and they have the main responsibility to get readers attention to read the rest of the post.

So, if you want to hold current and attract new readers and hold their attention, titles are vitally important.

Great blog title tells people what is article content about. But, if the title says absolutely nothing about what your reader can read in your article, you can write a great post under that heading only to find that it never gets read.

On the internet, there is a great number of blog posts published every day. Having that in mind, it’s becoming very difficult to get people to read your content. So, your post must have not only great content, it should have an awesome title that will make people want to click on it, and read the rest of a post.

In other words, the success of your post absolutely depends on coming up with a great blog title.

To create or to improve your blog title, here are a few tips that will help your excellent blog titles:

  1. Learn from others

Every day you find titles – not only blog titles but also the titles from the articles in newspapers and magazines, on the varies videos you watch, etc. You always have some kind response to those titles, even if your response is to ignore them and keep on scrolling forward.

As you read more, you become a better writer, when you pay more attention to the titles you discover in everyday life and the way you experience them, it will lead you to create better titles yourself.

  1. Make it descriptive

A “must have” for the blog title is to be more descriptive than the title of a magazine or newspaper article.

Because, when someone reads a magazine or newspaper title, they have in front of them, the images, captions, everything to help them make a decision to read on.

When we speak about a blog, on the web, a blog post title is usually seen in the search results without this additional information. Therefore, it has to be more descriptive what the article is about.

  1. Keep it short and below the limit

Generally speaking, it’s a good idea to keep blog title below Google’s display limit of 70 characters, because the post title will be used as the title tag that appears in the search results. That’s why some bloggers talk about the ideal title that has eight words or less.

  1. Use Your Keyword Research

If you already have a blog, you’re probably doing keyword research to help you figure out what your readers are thinking about, looking for, and the words they use when doing so.

So, include all this when you next time creates your blog title, and you’ll get great blog title, that’s going to be worth readers attention.
